If we were meeting in person I’d make sure to pronounce it clearly:
“Bee-SSAN, like a bee 🐝 plus sand ⏳ without a d”
I’m an avid gardener, amateur yogi, lover of animals (I’ve fostered three kittens and eight dogs so far) and being one with nature. I am originally from Ottawa, but I’ve lived in Toronto, Montreal, Waterloo, and Kitchener. I am fluent in English, French, and Arabic and learning Spanish (slowly). My volunteer passions revolve around working to empower and advocate for young people and women, and I have always had a strong pull towards public service and community building.
If you’re wondering a bit about my professional history, there’s more on that below.
You can also follow me on Twitter, where I’m most active, and Instagram and TikTok, where I’m more casual.
